I completed my medical school at Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. Following this, I gained my Diploma in Orthopaedics from Stanley Medical College, also in Chennai. My Orthopaedic registrar higher surgical training was in Sheffield.I specialised in shoulder and elbow with fellowships at the upper limb unit at the Northern General Hospital and also at Derby. I also did a further hand and wrist surgery fellowship at the Pulvertaft Hand centre in Derby. During my training as a registrar, I was awarded travelling fellowships to both the Mayo clinic in America and Japan. As a consultant, I was awarded the prize of the young consultant’s travelling fellowship where I had the privilege of visiting Dr. Roger Van Riet in Antwerp ,Belgium.
I am a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and the British Orthopaedic Association. My aim is to provide my patients with evidence based, patient centric service in shoulder and elbow problems.
