Over the years Indranil has developed a Hand and Wrist Surgery service in Rotherham. He enjoys teaching undergraduates and postgraduates, of all levels, locally and nationally. He also teaches on numerous courses on Hand and Wrist Surgery. He is a Royal College of Surgeons examiner for the Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery and examines for the Diploma of Hand Surgery on behalf of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. Indranil continues to undertake research and has published papers in international Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery journals. He reviews scientific papers for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (British volume) and the Journal of Hand Surgery (European volume), being a member of the editorial board of the latter. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield Medical School and an Honorary Clinical Tutor at the University of Edinburgh Medical School.
