Shoulder and elbow

Our Shoulder and Elbow service provides specialist care for a wide array of conditions, from rotator cuff tears, impingement syndromes and instability to tennis elbow, cubital tunnel syndrome and distal biceps injuries. Initial evaluation includes a thorough clinical examination, dynamic ultrasound and MRI to pinpoint pathology and guide treatment. Non‑operative management may involve targeted physiotherapy, activity modification, orthotic support and image‑guided injections (corticosteroid, PRP or hyaluronic acid). When surgery is indicated, we perform arthroscopic repair of labral tears, rotator cuff reconstruction, ligamentous stabilisation and open procedures such as tendon transfers or joint arthroplasty. Elbow interventions include ulnar nerve decompression, lateral epicondyle release and fracture fixation. Following surgery, patients engage in structured rehabilitation programmes—ranging from early passive mobilisation to progressive strengthening and proprioceptive training—designed to restore range of motion, functional strength and return to work or sport.
